“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.” - Lisa Olivera
Embarking on a journey of change requires immense courage to be raw, vulnerable, and honest with oneself. My mission as a counsellor is to provide a safe space for clients to do exactly that with me, while wholeheartedly supporting and walking with them on the paths of their choosing. I believe that everyone is capable of making the best decisions for themselves, though we can sometimes be clouded by fears, anxiety, or others’ opinions. My hope is to be the counsellor whom clients can fully trust to share their thoughts and feelings with, in order for them to gain clarity and feel empowered to go in the direction that is right for them.
Other than simply listening, I equip my clients with tools to overcome obstacles in a resilient and adaptable manner, enabling them to feel confident in tackling whatever life has in store for them. Since every client is unique, I tap on different modalities such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring them to meet the requirements of each individual’s needs.
Having worked in the corporate setting, followed by several years with children and adolescents, all while raising my own young children as well, I very much identify with the struggles that working parents face today. My interest is particularly in working with couples, parents, those on a fertility journey, and teenagers.
